Unit 11. Phrases: V7 Inversions

We can include inversions of the dominant seventh chord to create complete progressions.

Possible inversions: I/i, I⁶/i⁶, V, V⁶, V⁷, V6/5, V4/3, V4/2, or vii°⁶

Directions:

  • Write in the soprano notes on the staff, and the scale degree numbers above all the soprano notes. The first note is given.

  • Write in the bass notes on the staff. The first note is given.

  • Write the Roman numerals below the staff. The first Roman numeral is given.
